Speaking of bottled up, Marty’s broken out the sippy cup and is getting some help from his color man Jim Beam. And the man at the back said everyone attack and it turned into a Tilden blitz.
P1- Marty’s computer logo could be construed as a copy write infringement. Or it might be a stubby finger saying #1. P2- Lego Sports Lighting outshines competitors Musco & Spero.
Wow! R&W have inserted a Rock Contest. Pass RUSH and RUSH pass. Two by Rush?: how about Spirit of the Radio for Marty and Fly by Night for Tilden’s Defense?
Hakeem must have a concussion. “Good pickup on the blitz.” He got pummeled while he was still backpedaling. “I rushed the throw.” The ball was swatted out of his hand in P2, if he had held onto it any longer he would have been sacked. In fact, “on further review, the quarterback’s arm was not yet moving forward when the ball was knocked loose, therefore the play is ruled a fumble, Tilden recovery. First and goal. Again.” And speaking of reviews, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is ready for review.
What year is this trip anyway? I do not notice any players wearing a helmet that contains a complete face mask, a nose guard running from the helmet to the face guard was required long ago. Those are brought in probably in the 1980s. Except for kickers who needed a clear sight to the all.

So is Heather Burns one of the players allowing Tilden to rush the passer so effectively? We can’t tell what’s going on.

And the more pressure Tilden brings, the more confused Gil gets.

Why throw? The receivers won’t be able to see the ball in the glare of those lights anyway.

Love a Sweet reference @kdizzle.
Here’s a Hollies reference for Panel 1 -
Look through any window, yeah, what does Moon see? Tilden blitzers all around, rushing through the Milford clowns.

That is one thick screen on Marty’s Pac-Man brand laptop.

I don’t know about picking up the blitz- sort of looks like the Rent- a- Cars lineman sailed right past Nick.

Marty must have read my comment from yesterday.
Has Hakeem gotten a pass off yet? Does anybody have Tru(e)’s number?
P3, Nice block in the back Nick. That penalty was the closest we’ve come to a gain today.

Wow….7 out of last 8 strips have featured actual HS sports rather than lame non-sports panels. I’m not used to this.

Check out the colorized version for definitive proof that Hakeem’s arm was amputated in P2.

Looks like Hakeem had emergency arm reattachment surgery between P2 and P3.

Well, at least we’re seeing more actual sports than we did in the previous story arc.
