Well, the ship itself is no illusion, so they just can’t blast through that. Not home free just yet… ;-)

Sigh, I just love this strip. :o) The storyline alone is worth it. So is the artwork. Put them together and you have the best strip on GoComics! (my opinion, of course) Love the allusion of speed in panel 4.

This makes me think of a zit that needed Sqeezing from a face you wouldn’t steal

That Lyn sure won’t go away!

Of course, this could also all just be in Wally’s head, as the ship drinks up the euphoria in the cat’s head about his escape, and puzzlement about the lack of a virus, and so on and so forth.

These panels seem to show that they were trapped within a mini-universe of illusions centered on the fear of Lyn to exploit our protagonists using various scenarios within the mini-universe. Now we see not the cocoons of trapped people but dark spheres which could be other mini-universes containing illusions. I am not sure how this squares with what we were shown earlier.

Looks like Lyn has gone all “Davey Jones”. ;-)

This is why you should restart your computer at least ever month during the apocalypse, to keep it from mutating into a digital life form that feeds upon emotions.

Wally’s dittos still have one leg in the Lyn ditto. That could halt forward progression quickly.

Lyn is going to have a splitting headache. ;-)

Wait— Can’t tell whether they’re accelerating out of there, or in panel 4, being held back.

Lyn actually looks more distinguished with a tentacle mustache and beard.

hm…now Lyn wants to be Cthulu,

this should be interesting.

…Wally has a unique relationship with his dittos…I don’t remember how he got them ?…

Now for the $50,000 question: Is Wally actually winning, or is this another simulation that’s simply making him think he’s winning, only for the satisfying emotional payoff crushing him at the last second would provide?

Wally really needs to carry out his threat to yank every ditto out of the place…

It would be interesting to know if Wally’s ditto sphere is strong enough to bust through a ship’s hull.

Sooo, what is – and what isn´t – an illusion? Are they certain Holly isn´t an illusion?

Did anyone else have a dramatic soundtrack appear in their mind while reading this installment? If so, does anyone else make dramatic soundtrack sounds while looking at today’? or is it just me?

Brace yourself against what? He keeps saying it, and all I can think is… Okay, is that “hold onto each other” or “find some way to brace against the rounded walls of this ephemeral blob” or what? His words confuse me.
