I thought Wiley was the master of sarcastic wit. Nevertheless, Peter should start thinking of a way to market it.

    Good Morning, Fellow Cave Dwellers.

There may not be a need for it, but it was funny anyway.

    (Good Morning Everyone!)

Peter just invented sarcasm! Why, that’s the greatest thing since sliced… Oh never mind.

Grog: “I thought Wiley was the master of sarcastic wit.”

I think you mean Curls, but I get your point. Of course, Peter’s comment is sarcastic but it’s not terribly witty, so Curls probably would have been more masterly.

To ElDo from yesterday: I don’t know enough about classical music to have an opinion. I WISH I liked it more than I do. But a friend of mine is convinced that I almost always adhere to fairly conventional standards of greatness - my very favorite movie is “Casablanca”, my very favorite band is the Beatles, my very favorite artist is Michaelangelo, my very favorite play is “Hamlet”; they’re not UNIVERSALLY acknowledged as the best in their fields, but they’re hardly surprising - so if I were a classical music listener EITHER Beethoven OR Mozart would likely be my favorite composer. Probably Beethoven, because of early influence from “Peanuts”.

(By the way, Schulz actually preferred Brahms to Beethoven, but Beethoven worked better in the strip.)

Fritzoid,, you are quite right. Curls is the master! I just hadn’t had my morning jolt of Pepsi yet when I wrote that.

Grog, I knew full well that you knew. I hope you know that. :-)

PS to freeholder. I couldn’t follow your comment about Fortinbras and a props department from yesterday. It could just be that my state is disjoint and out of frame from want of sleep, but I’d hate to think I’m missing a joke I’d enjoy (particularly a “Hamlet” joke), so could you fill me in?

PPS to anyone who cares: One of the local (SF) theater companies is staging a production of “Hamlet” on Alcatraz this month. Could be very interesting…
