Go for it, John! Or you’ll always regret it. Later you’ll turn into an old and bitter grouch. Always wondering “What might have been.” _

A few years ago had the opportunity to drive one of my (and a lot of other guys’ dreamcar). It turned out a nightmare, as the cabin was so small I could hardly get into it and even less stand sitting in it for more than ten minutes. And I am just 6’3’’.

I got to test-drive a Maserati once. It was a convertible with the top down so head room wasn’t an issue. Really nice comfortable car with such a luxurious interior! Sigh……

I had the opportunity to drive a neighbor’s Pantera once. I’m a bit over 5’ 10". I couldn’t get into the thing. At the time I had an ’84 Lotus Turbo Esprit. Plenty of room for me to get in and out. I took it down to an automotive stereo store in Redondo Beach and the guy leaned way way over to look me in the eye and asked me why I needed a car that low to the ground! I laughed. The car was only 44" high.

I bought a 2000 Z3M for my 50th birthday. I had DINAN beef it up some and I love the car. It’s a weekend only and now has 32,000. Nice collector car one day perhaps? Go for it John!

I heard Jay Leno say that most people who think they want a sports car really want a grand touring car. Something with performance, but a back seat for a kid, lower insurance, and more comfort.

After a month with a Camry loaner while waiting for parts to be made and shipped from Japan, I am back with my Prius after that gas guzzler I couldn’t get past 40 mpg. 50s once more in sight.
