It’s only natural that Chuck’s hero is an underdog like himself. Not everybody can be Willie Mays.
He’s a real guy? I don’t follow baseball at all, so I thought, with a name that strange, he HAD to be made up.

I always wondered that myself, Linus. Why DID Charlie Brown seem to like Joe Shlabotnik? He never seemed to be much of a guy, as the storyarc demonstrates, as I recall.
