Well, Snoop, guess it’s time to give your beneficiaries a claim to that million-dollar policy Met tucked into your contract. Don’t worry, the vet says it’s just like taking a nice long nap.
Actually, Met Life is closing the individual insurance part of their business and are concentrating on their business insurance customers so Snoopy is no longer a good fit.
When I had Met Life health insurance, I really loved getting a birthday card from Snoopy. Some things you never outgrow.
Nobody loved “Sparky” Schulz more than BB., if his hundred or so references to Schulz in the Bloom County omnibus volumes from Library of American Comics are any indication. However, BB said at one point that Snoopy was VERY hard for him to draw right and for that reason Snoopy didn’t appear in his strips all that often. BB did OK drawing Snoopy in this strip but you can definitely see the difference between what he drew vs, the Met Life ad that he pulled from Google Images.

Can they go back with Ford?

That does it. I am going right down and switch to that company that Earnhardt Jr. works for. (He didn’t get canned yet, did he?)

Met life must have figured out that most of their customers were born after the Peanuts strip had ended.

I wonder if Charles Schultz’s estate ever received any money from MetLife for the use of Snoopy’s image?

How much was that contract worth? Looks like $30.00 admission to the Schulz Museum now.

Interesting factoid, the first appearance of the animated Peanuts gang was in a Ford ad for the “new” Ford Falcon.

The Met Life balloon went up for it’s first flight since they fired Snoopy, and it got shot down by the Red Baron.
