I thought the penalty pews were the front pews.
Funny, in many of the churches I’ve been to, it appears that a lot of folks sit up front just so you can see that they’re at church.
I’d sit in back, but for some reason they keep putting my chair right up front…
Actually, in the monks’ choir, I sit in a middle row (now), off to one side, so when I have to leave early I don’t cause too much fuss, and so I can help guests.
