    My father survived a storm in Nebraska that had some of the largest hail ever recorded; the size of grapefruit. It killed cattle and destroyed crops and cars. He was at his grandparents house. He said the noise was so loud they thought the world was coming to an end; they got on their knees and started praying.

    When we get 1/8 inch snow once every 10 years in Houston; we panic! All the schools close and they send out the sand trucks to coat the freeway overpasses.
