So, Posie is on parole. I wondered a couple of time if he had escaped from prison. Anyway, we may never find out what he wanted. Maybe he just wanted to see his daughter, but his daughter no longer exists, sadly.
Mysta has no idea who he is, really. The closest thing she has to a father figure is Diet Smith.
In fact, we saw a Li’l Abner-style whammy in this strip less than five months ago when Evil-Eye Fleegle appeared in Tracy’s “dream team-up” with Fearless Fosdick!
I don’t think we missed anything important. Posie looks subdued, but he is still a violent thug. Crashing his car into his daughter just so he can see her? And then attacking her? What a jerk! Stay away from him, Mysta.
I wish we could see more of the lunarian story arc. I think what is happening with Mysta and Honeymoon and Bribery is the most exciting development in Dick Tracy in decades, next to Curtis and Staton taking over the strip. My opinion.
We don’t know how quickly the Metro Police showed up to process the accident, but apparently Posie had recovered from the relatively gentle zap Mysta gave him and has been behaving himself (probably doesn’t want to jeopardize his parole, at least not with a cop on the scene). I agree that Smith Industries needs to improve its response time, however. They should be there already.
What we want to know is, what will Posie do now, once the police leave the scene?
If Posie was in jail for murder, isn’t that a crime for which there is no parole? If so, how’d his release get engineered? I think someone behind the scenes did some string-pulling!

Posie is hurt… emotionally hurt.
I think he has gotten over the shock he got from Mysta.

Exchanged insurance info? When? While Posie is being toasted?
How did she let Smith Industries know? Telepathically?
I think Mysta wants to have a chat with a not-so-over-excited Posie

Why do I get the strong feeling we missed a lot between yesterday and today?

This is pretty tedious – I for one could do without the entire “Lunarian” story arc…

We need to get back to Selfy before it gets lost in the crossovers. There is an unsolved murder hanging in the breeze.

I’m not complaining, though. I was just reacting to an earlier comment.

I must admit, this is interesting to say the least.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if Bribery were the “puppet-master”!

Poppa Smith should have brought this when he heard about what happened to Mysta
