Poor Kirbee I hope she gets to meet Wally’s friend soon. After all Holly was always his 1st real love relationship.I may have wanted more with the teacher, but it didn’t get far along enough.So she is the one he wants to be with. Hoping for that sweet fun loving Mouse/woman he knew and loved.
If Chic grows up a little, Kirbee will still be there for him. Assuming Chic is willing to give up friendship with Irving for companionship with a love lizard.
Yeah…..really a happy and sad panel this time. I hope Kirby wouldn t be too long dissapointed. She is a too positive character for that.I looking more forward if Holly could tame her jealousy about Kirby.
Kirbee seems to have accept and adapt to anything that comes in the most pragmatic way. Chic has come from an evil place (Unity) but has a child’s ability to adapt. Irving…is Irving. Wally understood what was going on with the dittos. But Holly…she was already unstable, and reliving her memories over and over and not knowing what is real may not have helped. She could question everything now. Like Wally’s existance.
I’ve got mixed impressions of this one. It’s really going to depend if Wally understands he’ll need to give Kirbee a lot of space. That, and if Holly can now understand she CAN’T keep running from her past AND hold onto a romance with Wally. IF those two happen, I’ll be able to forgive Wally for a wise choice.
If I were author of Endtown, and I was planning to end the Endtown saga, this would be the episode that I would write. // I really can’t think of anywhere for the characters to go from here. // A couple of you have suggested taking the plural marriage route, with which I would agree. But I don’t think the vast majority of readers would want to go along with that. // Just ask 19th century Mormons. // Can these characters co-exist now that Holly has returned? Probably not. My impression of females over the years is that this arrangement is not sustainable. One of the females has to go. // Just as Hagar, Abraham’s other wife. (As long as we’re dragging the Bible into this) // (I agree with the other poster, that plural marriage wasn’t what caused problems in the Old Testament; other things led to the intense jealousies that resulted in the huge chasm that divides those native to the Holy Lands) // Since plural marriage has been more than illegal for more than a hundred years now, it is safe to say that no one has survived who could tell us what life was really like under the system. // And, no, I won’t go near those who insist in practicing the principle today; all are criminals by the law of the land – and, for those polygamists that call themselves “Mormons,” know that the LDS church has officially expelled all of these people)
For what it’s worth, I was ready for Holly to be written out of the story at this point. I was ready for Wally to move on. And in Kirbee, the unlikely, yet superhuman hero of the Unity story, I thought this would be a great new start for Wally. // After an appropriate period of mourning for Holly, Kirbee and Wally could move on to new adventures. And I totally respect the talents that Kirbee brings on board. Wally may be the engineer, the “brains” of this outfit, but Kirbee brings both brawn and – especially – heart. // All things considered, if given a choice, I’d rather follow the adventures of Wally and Kirbee than the adventures of Wally and Holly. // For what it’s worth.
I’m holding out for something good for all. Sometimes it does happen. Glad to see you are better aaron!I’d love to meet you especially since I will be changing flights in houston thursday afternoon.
I hope Holly and Wally make it. It would be wonderful if their relationship was strong enough to overcome both Holly’s breakdown and Wally’s attraction to Kirbee.
Considering what little respect she got in Unity, Kirbee has probably been called a lot of things. I just can’t imagine her being called a “homewrecker” – she’s too nice for that. I really hope she finds someone. I am glad that Holly and Wally are back together, but Kirbee deserves to be happy, too. In the meantime, she’d make a great mother for Chic and Irving.
I’m pretty much willing to follow this wherever it goes, whether we have Wally and Holly or Wally and Kirbee. If its the former, I hope Kirbee finds someone nice. I would like to see her be happy.
I wonder if it will be revealed that the people Edmund was feeding on were the exiles from Unity, and were sent in exchange for the dittos Unity’s leaders were trying to train.

So… it remains to be seen what Holly is about, now. No guarantee she’ll stop being psycho.

@Aaron:
OK, if NOT a threesome, can we meet somebody new for Kirbee?
I love Wally & Holly, but Kirbee is nice, too. . .and she DESERVES some happiness. She could continue “mothering” Chick and Irving.
