Frazz by Jef Mallett for December 02, 2016
Transcript:
Girl: It snowed! I found Mr. Spaetzle's lunch in the road. He set it on top of his car while he brushes off the windshield and then forgets it and drives away. It lands in the road and I pick it up and I know it snowed. Frazz: Or you could look on the ground for snow. Girl: Mr. Spaetzle could set his lunch on the seat. But if he's going to make it interesting, so am I.

So, when she sees a roadkill animal, she assumes that it snowed? You know, ’cause Mr. Spaetzle was taking his pet to the vet and set it on the roof of his car so he could brush off his windshield?

Clever logic.

If Mr. Spaetzle loses his lunch like that often, how does he maintain his “physique”?

This is kind of like religion. I heard some survivor of the Gatlinburg fire on TV the other day praising God for having saved his family photo album in what was otherwise the total loss of his house. People focus on minutiae and ignore the blatantly obvious right in front of their eyes.

He loses his lunch when leaving school? Or does she pass his house on the way to school and see that he’s lost it there??

I hope that she’s thoughtful enough to bring the lunch to Dr. Spaetzle—at least if she recovers it before it’s run over.
