Apparently the Convergence was organized by retailers.

Consumers were supposed to converge on the New Age jewelry and paraphernalia stores.

In a future storyline, Boopsie will discover virtually reality shopping. Don’t remember when that was.

As my mother used to say: " When the going gets tough…The tough go shopping ! "

This reminds me of the time of the “Great Prediction” of 12/21/2012 that some people said was prophesized by the Mayans about the end of the world based on their calendar; i.e., the belief that the world would end due to a “convergence” of astronomical events (their twisted interpretations of what the Mayans really said was too ridiculous to go into here). There was even a movie based on this crazy theory, “2012.”

I knew about one blogger who actually believed it. So after spouted on about the oncoming calamity of the end of the world, I asked him one question: “If you really think the world will end, can I have your car?”

He never answered me.

The convergence happened! Boopsie’s two active brain cells merged.

“Getcher crystals here! Nice shiny crystals! Step right up. You there, ma’am, just take a look at this little gem. Sir, you look like a gentleman of taste, howzabout you spring for a his n’ hers set?”

“Boopsie! You were asleep! We had 143,999 praying for peace, and we missed it!”

Any sort of divine convergence happening in America would definitely involve mass consumerism. The true faith of the land.

The convergence merged into Black Friday.

Boopsie has lips. I don’t remember her having lips before.
