    Tony asked, about 6 hours ago

    Did you do your homework?

    That’s none of your concern.

    Of course I did. Always. Almost.

    And it was a lot – more than allowed, actually. Much more.

    @Tony

    In those ’50s and ’60s sitcoms, any time the dad brought work home it always seemed to cause trouble. Based on that I equated homework with trouble and avoided it completely.

    OK…. um…..

    Tony’s question…..

    and remember, I had nothing to do with it……

    is ’Did you do your homework?"

    As for me…..

    yeah, I guess I did……

    It was so long ago I hardly remember.

    Actually, to be honest….

    I remember that sometimes I didn’t.

    I’d sit there for hours…..

    making chains out of paper clips and taking them apart…..

    and letting my mind wander.

    Why?

    (Shrug…)

    BTW…. Kyle…..

    I don’t know where you live….

    But I used to visit my sister, who lives in BC, when my now 30-something niece was in high school,

    I noticed that California teenagers used “like” half a dozen times in every sentence….

    The Canadian kids didn’t…..

    but they did the same with “you know.”

    So which is worse…..

    “I, like, talked to Brittany, and I, like, told her, like “I don’t, like, want to go to some, like, big party.”

    or

    “I, you know, talked to Brittany, and I, you know, told her, you know “I don’t, you know, want to go to some big, you know, party.”

    @Tony:

    What homework?

    Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:

    What have you “totally done”?
