While forfeiting the game may be considered a bold strategy, it doesn’t produce many wins.

Parents’ attendance at games is neither required nor desired.

My father was disappointed as I don’t care about sports. I don’t get them. Unless you have a bet on a team, they are extremely boring. Luckily my brother made up for it.

Parents’ attendance at games and other student activities IS required and desired. What’s required is parents modeling good behavior.

    .

I spent many years refereeing youth soccer. Never had a problem with the kids… the parents on the other hand…

.<P.I taught a course for parents and coaches on positive coaching and parenting.

    .

I also used to carry buttons that I would give to over zealous parents, who were screaming at the ref or a coach.

All is said was It’s A Kid’s Game

Proved to be a very effective tool in most cases.

wWhen my son was in Little League, he was the pitcher. I sat in the car and watched from the window.

Why? So I wouldn’t have to hear the other parents yelling at their kids.

Son never played a second year, he couldn’t stand it either.
