Our first house was actually like that. Hand built in 1834, with handmade square nails, etc. When we put in new windows, they were perfectly level but looked crooked because the house was not level.
I knew a guy who refurbished old houses. He said the part of the job he liked most was the challenge of dealing with structures in which no two lines were parallel or perpendicular.
