Mist, you have been disappeared. We had been engaged in a discussion of sweaty, greasy motorcycle mechanics and now it is a one-sided dialog.

Some of you may notice, when you get here,

that tonight, for Dry, I’ve reworked some of the text graphics I used for StelBel.

 

Believe me… I’ve searched for others…..

but they take ages to modify for the new GoComics rules….

and some just won’t work here at all.

 

Eventually I hope to have found or created more of a selection…..

but I’m just getting the hang of it.

I was just about to bring in the cake….

in case I go to bed soon…

 

Like StelBel’s cake, a fewdays ago,

this is one I made for Dry and Dusty when we could still post pictures……

 

For those of you who don’t know what StelBel and I mean when we say we “tamper” with pictures……

And Eldo did a lot of it too…..

 

It means you take an existing picture, or several…..

then alter, manipulate, cut and paste…….

sometimes add some stuff freehand…..

like my cake lettering, usually….. To end up with your own version.

 

As I recall, this cake for Dry had parts of at least two cakes, plus various candles and kitties from other images…….

and glitter from a website.

For a very short while (4 days), we were the same age! I know that’s not earth-shattering news, but that just occurred to me!

 

So, late last night, Annie and the Ten Cats were planning on marching over here to get the party started. They had no idea how far it was, though, so here they are……. finally!

But…. I can’t take credit for most of the designs….

I can only take credit for adding names and a few extras, and re-working them to suit the new GoComics restrictions.

 

You, and others, may have missed my explanations….

 

I searched the web for “text art” and “ascii art” … which post as text characters, right in the comment box…

not like the newly banned links to images on other sites.

 

I found a few to copy and paste.

The problem is, they don’t post correctly here.

All the characters get pulled up onto one garbled line,

cos GoComics has eliminated proper spacing.

 

So what I had to do is figure that out,

and add a ton of single spaces (ie; nbsp;'s ) plus line and paragraph breaks,

so the characters line up as they’re supposed to,

to make a “picture.”

 

And Happy Birthday to Queen,

and belatedly, Marge and Neverenough.

[To the latter….hope you held onto the receipt. :) ]

Speaking of Dry…Of the Ten Cats, remember that Oliver is under age! Do not serve him or you will meet the wrath of Lily!

TO ALL OF YOU LOVELY PEOPLE I had a lovely day with my sons and hubby. Checked my emails this late evening and discovered I was under DIRECT orders to get my BUTT over here, ASAP! LOL! :-D Won’t mention who said that, ;-) but here I am! I was kind of surprised ya’ all remembered my birthday! As I get older, I prefer not to think about it, although, I AM STILL HERE and kickin’, so it ain’t all bad!

I have some leftover Sushi, wine and birthday cake left for any one who is interested. And I have a lovely relish tray still full that I made earlier for tonight in case we got hungry again, so come on over and enjoy! If you don’t mind the freezing cold here, come on over!
