Well, nothing’s exactly due tomorrow, but we’re having a party for about 50 people Sunday afternoon, and I have at least one more batch of cookies to make.
Am I surprised? No. I just lived a similar scenario last night. Little man said all week he didn’t have homework. Yesterday he told me he had some work to do and it turned out to be more than he could finish in an evening because he put it off all week. Middle school hasn’t been the smoothest transition.
JP Christmas decorations are due tomorrow. I’ve been a bit behind this year.
Ok, I’m lost. Yesterday he finished his book report which was due 5 days previous. Now he didn’t finish his book report which is due tomorrow. If they have to read a book, and do a book report on a weekly basis, no wonder the poor kid is behind.

So….. Tony asks……
“Surprised?”
By this kid not doing homework?
I’d be a lot more surprised if he’d actually done it.

Tigressy….
I can’t say I’m surprised that he’s up at 10:30 on a school night…..
I’ve seen too many parents allow it.
But I agree that it’s a bad idea…….
sleep specialists, doctors and scientists all say a child that age needs at least 9 hours of sleep every night,
and preferably 10 to 12.
He probably has to be in school by 8am….. some even start at 7:30.
So…. staying up so late means way too little sleep, a rushed morning….
sometimes no breakfast…..
A bad start to the day….
and to life.

With all that required sleep, where do they find the time to do homework?

Wait a minute. According to yesterday’s strip, the report was due last week.
So yep, I am surprised.

@Tony:
Nothing (much) surprises me anymore. And it should come as no surprise that this is today’s…
Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:
What’s due tomorrow?

And try to find the dining room table.

@Tony
At my age, very little surprises me, although I will admit to occasional disappointment.

I once watched my oldest Grandson write a report: Split screen with Wikipedia on one side, his report on the other.
He copied the whole thing! AND got an “A”!
