I miss my Mami. She could make everything better the same way.

Ellie was right in many ways. I expect this will help both Lawrence and Connie.

Finally, Connie gets it right. Parents may assume that their kids know they are loved and are important, but it never hurts to say the words.

That was so sweet! And the huge smile that it put on Lawrence’s face is awesome! :-)

Great galloping idiocies, it is doubling down time for the malicious commerce raiders. The usual!

Are they sending two spams in a row because they think we won’t flag them twice?

Connie says that now … but will she remember it later?

But I do agree that this is a very sweet moment between mother and son.

Glad to see her do something right by her son for a change.

It’s also hilarious to see the same people who fought me tooth and nail on everything I used to say now are expressing my same sentiments that they argued against.

My brother lost his wife several years ago and was raising his daughter alone. He remarried just a couple of weeks ago and they made sure to include her in the ceremony. My new sister-in-law gave her a promise ring and said special vows to let her know that she promised to love her and care for her as if she was her own daughter, and that the ring was a reminder of that promise. She’s only 6 now and she was very young when her mom died, so I’m not sure how much she understands of what was going on (she’s very smart though) but it will be important to her as she grows up and can look back at that memory. I thought it was wonderful.

Good for Ellie, and also good for both Connie and Lawrence. Sometimes a little tough love goes a long way, and sometimes we need someone else to say what we can’t seem to see for ourselves.
