Mysterious letters are not what they used to be. I dread them.
The mystery these days is why a letter and not an Email.
The letters that arrive on late Fridays tend to have bad news that I can not respond to until the next Monday.
Those were simpler times. Now, if you receive a mysterious letter, there are more things to worry about.
So Snoopy loves bad news?

Snoopy, you know from past experience that it’s likely to be a rejection letter…
Or, if it were February, a Valentine!
At least it wasn’t a “Howler”.
A mysterious letter…probably from the Head Beagle.
Getting a letter with pages numbered, 1,2,4,5. Would be a Mystery!
Oh no! Not a mysterious letter! It’s going to rune his life!
Must be from the Head Beagle.
We shall see.
