Too much risk of the spiders getting hurt. She can’t squish Charlotte.

Mine were hidden in plain(ish) sight. A giant banded chest on the landing at the top of the stairs, wrapped around with a steel cable and padlocked, on top was a fancy table cloth and arranged on that was a nativity scene.

Needless to say I learnt to pick locks, honed my memory on the exact placement of all the items in the nativity. Once inside I would use a craft knife on the sellotape, and when finished cut another piece the same size to reseal everything.

Had great fun playing with all the toys while we were left home alone (it was a bygone age when that wasn’t frowned upon).

And when Xmas day arrived I got to practise my acting skills… Oh the joy, Oh the surprise look what you have gotten me :-)

“Two-headed Henry Kissinger demons.” Just trying to get a mental picture of that…

It is simple in its elegance or elegant in its simplicity. But either way I agree.
