Prince, David Bowie, Mohamed Ali, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, and you’re talking politics? Don’t let ED derail you from what is important. We all know she has her own agenda, don’t drag yourself down to her level.
On the plus side, Clinton went down in flames and Obama will be outta here in three weeks. Of course, we still need to figure out what to do with Trump for the next four years.
With all the political clap-trap, you guys have missed a really hilarious bit of irony in the last panel. Time deserves a huge round of applause for that one!!
Actually, I don’t think the election is 2016’s fault. The broken nominating systems that set us up with the two most detested presidential candidates in decades got their start in 1984 (the Democratic “superdelegate” system, which has picked a losing candidate five times in seven tries) and 2013 (the Republican “winner take all primary” system, which allowed tRump to secure the nomination without receiving more than a third of the vote in any primary). Those years deserve equal blame—haul ‘em out of the Old Years’ Home!
Besides, you gotta give 2016 points for an ironic sense of humor: faced with two candidates who were both despised by a majority of voters, the year found a way to make them both losers—one lost the popular vote (by a Yuuuge margin), while the other lost the electoral vote.

You are exactly why Democrats are in their weakest position in almost 100 years.
