Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for December 21, 2016
Transcript:
Phoebe: Give me one good reason you spent all that time and magic on Stephanie instead of me! Marigold: She was very sad. As a unicorn, I was able to give of my time and magic to make her feel better. Phoebe: Now I feel guilty. Marigold: Normally, I would cast a non-guilt spell on you, but I am too drained.

It would be good if Marigold would start asking permission before magically altering people’s emotions.

Are you so used to having a Unicorn around that the mere presence of her is no longer enough to make you happy?

Phoebe, you can help recharge Marigold. All it takes is a hug!

Another side of Marigold! (Although we already knew she knew how to be a good friend to little girls.)

A hug, and a nuzzle would help a lot, I’ll bet.

This reminds me of the Simpson’s quote, “That’s the trouble with being middle class. Anyone who cares will leave for those who need it more.”

Marigold showing empathy? Maybe she’s not so narcissistic after all. :)
