    My hubby’s dad had a Shetland sheepdog that he used to set on cats. The dog would run barking at the cat and the cat would scat out of there. Then ONE day Ladybird encountered a big mean tom who stood his ground and slashed her nose. Ladybird ran yelping back to her Daddy and from that day on she would never chase cats again…

    I once had a cat that had NO fear of dogs. She would stand her ground and scratch open the nose of her attacker. Every dog in the neighborhood learned not to mess with Lucy. Short for Lucifer.

    We got a puppy nine months ago. The cat is scared to death of him and hisses and swipes at him whenever they’re close. The dog still just wants to play with her.
