Bernie: Say, Mike do you go out to a party on New Year's Eve? Mike: No, just couldn't get up for it. I thought about going, and then I thought, "No by golly, that surely would be a big waste of time!" It's ridiculous, Bernie! And no one ever really enjoys those things! Drinking and pretending to have fun, that's all it is! It's forced fun! Everyone thinks we should be celebrating and carrying on, which, as a concept, is basically self-conscious and immature! Yessir, New year's eve is the dumbest, stupidest boringest, time of the entire year!! Bernie: Couldn't get a date again, huh? Mike: I can't understand it.
