Quite so, the key word being “defended”. Who is threatening to invade the world’s “designated neutral”, Switzerland? They still use the militia system rather than selective conscription, standing army, or mercenaries, and are thus incapable of invading anyone. Yet the Third Gerrman Empire backed off from invading when they found the butcher bill would be too high for the value of sabotaged hydroelectric and precision machines and guerillas coming down from the Alps periodically. There is no such thing as a defensive atom bomb. Mutually Assured Destruction works only so long as there are no mad men on either side. I don’t trust that that will be the case a month from now.
With every other country ,that seems to have a problem with The USA ,I say we better keep up on the nuclear weapons for safety reasons. Never trust any of them. Better safe than sorry.
