The Millers are out there right now! Hang on. The Barker's Christmas decorations are still up! We have time. They don't count because they're out of town this year! Hurry up or will be last!
I finally got my outside lights down this past Friday after work. Temps were in the upper 20s, with colder temps for the weekend, but I had gotten off work early and I was determined to get them down while it was still light out. It’ll be in the 50’s this coming week.
Several years ago the local radio station broadcast a warning that a local ordinance required all Christmas decorations to be taken down by March 31 or the home owners would be fined $50. There was an uproar and many calls to the radio station and to the local police dept. Nobody caught on to the fact that April 1 followed the “false” deadline.

I know of plenty who keep them up year-round. They only turn them on over Christmas.

We had lots of snow and brutal cold temperatures this last week, haven’t much cared what is going on outside as long as I didn’t have to go out myself

It’s 12 degrees here now. Next Friday it is supposed to be almost 60. That’s when the lights come down.

If you don’t put them up, you don’t have to take them down!

I never have to take down decorations, mainly because I stopped years ago bothering to put them up in the first place.
