It appears gocomics has also changed the time at which new comics are released along with many other things, most of which are bad.

For the crocs, that’s actually a bit better written than their usual.

They’d have better luck selling bridges in Brooklyn.

All they have to do is hook one in every several thousand, and it’s worth their time and effort.

I recently watched a Family Guy episode where Carter falls for it and he and Peter end up going to Nigeria to get their money back.

And you would think the KKK was doing this to portray minorities as Marxist con men.

I remember the first time I got one of these emails. Knew it was a con job but at the time didn’t know how wide spread it was. Printed it out with the intention of taking it to my local police figuring they could at least get in touch with the FBI or someone and find these guys. Don’t know why I never did that. That was either some time in the late ‘90s or around 2000 or 2001. Now the scam is so prolific it’s a joke.

@BARRYCARTER2: it depends on what you mean by “released”. Gocomics e-mails me the strips every morning, and they were sent around the same 2:30AM US Central Time as prior daily e-mails. The website was up (could access yesterday’s strips online) when it usually first shows today’s. Maybe there was a hardware problem that went unnoticed.

Maybe there really is a Nigerian prince out there trying to give away his fortune but no one will answer him…
