Baldo had a cell phone when he was ten?!

It really depends on the phone. I have a Nokia 3310 that really did take quite the beating and still functions. I also have an iPhone that was damaged while taking it out of the box! Baseball cards might be tougher than some modern phones!

Stupid as $#%$. Nobody does this. Not only that, but when Baldo was ten, smartphones were very common. I don’t know if he just had a flip phone in this strip when he was ten because that’s what he was given, or if the cartoonist was actually stupid and dimwitted enough to think that flip phones were “in” at the time. another thing is that collecting old phones and baseball cards are completely different. but the problem is, is that cartoonists are such fuddy-duddies that you could try to hammer that in their stupid heads all day, and they would fail to get the point.

Any phone worth having is good for at least five years, probably longer.

Donate those old phones. There are plenty of charities that can use them.

I would like a smartphone that has all the features, except the feature of making phone call. I have no need for that.
