It appears Molly is being sucked into an alternative dimension in the last 2 panels. First her legs disappear and then the rest of her turns black. I guess that’s the way she goes…into another dimension!

I grew up with a bunch of girls who would always say “I go…” “She goes…” meaning said. I’d correct them but it went in one ear and out the other. The same people would say “Can I see your pen?” meaning “Can I borrow your pen?” I’d show it to them and say “See?” Say what you mean!

“Once there was a boy and girl / Boy said “I love you so” / Girl said “I’ll never leave you” / They grew older and left each other / ‘Cause that’s the way love goes / That’s the way love goes…" -“Mighty Love.”

Whenever I said “he goes how are you” my mother would immediately correct me “He did not go anywhere”. “He said how are you.”

Teen speak and text have always been a cabal to communicate without adults being able to decipher.

Languages evolve. American English and probably all languages are changing much quicker than in the past. If we could come back to life in 100 years I would bet that the languages we would hear would be almost incomprehensible.
