The local community woodchips all the trees.. And spreads those chips on the nature trails in their parks.. So long into the spring, we can walk those paths smell the beautiful pine scent. Is Nate going to let us take the tree down? He's thinking about it.

I have never been able to understand the sentiment of “Here is a beautiful tree… Lets cut it down and kill it so that we can have it look nice in our home for 2 weeks more…. then we can dump it and kill another one next year.”
I have an artificial tree that I keep in it’s box in my shed all year and up until last year we would bring it out for the two weeks of Christmas. My son is 26 and we bought it before he was born.
We have not bothered setting up a tree the last couple of years.

Nate is a gentle giant — loyal, sentimental, and fierce in battle — just not comfortable with change. But who is?

This could also be a blessing for Nate. Simply tell him that, if he abandons his post, the tree will be taken. Watch them pounds just float away.

Good morning Crew!
I could never understand having an artificial tree. Never had one, hopefully never will.

To add to the tree postings, here in California there are lots of “cut your own” tree farms. They ask you to be sure to leave one row of branches above the ground when you cut the tree. The stump then regrows a new tree. So, it’s not like new trees even need to be planted. The original one just regrows.

Sounds like a good plan to me, though I’d say it’s gonna take more to convince Nate.
Good Evening, Crew.
