Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau for January 18, 1975
Transcript:
Zonker: Tell, me amigo - how'd you wind up with a name like "MacArthur"? MacArthur: Simple - I was a war baby - born in '42! Actually, I almost got named "Hirohito". But fortunately, my parents held off on naming me until after the battle of Midway. As you know, the Jap's really got stomped there - lost four carriers! So after that, Samoan parents began naming all the their new children after General MacArthur! Can you imagine?! Zonker: Oh, well - at least it's a nice name! MacArthur: Try telling that to my sister Doug.

I really do wish Trudeau had not used that slur.
