Cat: There's Gunther, wearing a winter outfit.
Peekaboo: I feel safe when he's dressed like that!
Cat: Why?
Peekaboo: No dog can run at full speed while wearing booties!
It’s got to be pretty darn cold for a big dog to be wearing a sweater and booties. Small dogs, sure – they have no mass to keep warm. But large dogs should have enough fur and mass (and energy during a morning run) to be comfortable until it gets down to extreme temperatures (substantially colder than what the human would be comfortable dressed in a jogging suit.)
Ever try actually putting boots on a dog? It’s like trying to put boots on a baby. They don’t understand the need to stiffen the foot as the boot is drawn on.
