Gerald Ford: Don, what I'm saying is that the problem isn't unemployment per se - it's what it does to people! It makes them depressed! Man: Yes, sir - it does indeed! Ford: Well, I want the people to be happy! I believe this government should offer them a way of escaping from their problems - at least until this thing blows over! So, tomorrow I'm unveiling my new moviegoers assistance plan! It will provide free movie tickets for the unemployed - to help them forget! I'm calling it "show-time, America!" What do you think? Man: Um... did you think of that yourself, sir? Ford: Sure! I haven't been just sitting around, you know!
