I beg your pardon, but plaid pants and a loud shirt are not exactly unique on Ballard St.

That’s a pencil in his pocket. With an eraser! Next, he’ll be adding a slide rule and a pocket protector! Oh, the shame of it! It’s a slippery slope. Next, he’ll be trying to put HTML in the comments.

Well, first time I tried to comment, and I see they’ve screwed it up already. Bruce9998 is also known as Farside99. Looks like I’ll have to see if I can go back and straighten it out. This update was simple s**t folks, how could you screw it up so badly?

Maybe Marty is trying to act like…. or convince himself… that it’s a good thing….

but I have to wonder whether he’s really his own man cos no one will take him.

    Meanwhile…. PerkyCat….

you asked yesterday about non-updated comics appearing in your line-up….

Grog answered that they don’t appear in his…. and they don’t in mine.

But Grog and I (and x_Tech) are all Pro, or now, Insider, members….

I know it’s a different page…. and sorry, but I don’t actually know what yours looks like or how it works..

Farside99…. you can click on your avatar and go to your Profile….then click on “edit”….. and put your name right.

Works for re-uploading avatars, as well.

    OK…. one more time….

“Cleo and Company” can be found HERE:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

And until Sherpa is reconnected with GoComics… comments about Cleo &C are being made on the Ballard Street strip for THIS DAY, 10 YEARS ago….

    Jan 11th, 2007.

Either click the little grey calendar next to today’s date in the box above this strip…

then click the year in the date…

use the little arrow to go back to 2007…. and click on January, then the 10th.(easier than it sounds)

    - OR -

Or for today, you can use this link:

    http://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2007/01/11

    -Or -

Manually add the date to the end of the URL in the address bar on this page….

ie: /2007/01/11 as in the URL I posted above.

Please do bookmark the Cleo page, and remember or bookmark a way to get to the comments, so I don’t have to keep posting it in this forum.

Marty has been working on that come-hither look for some time. I think he has got it perfected!

Marty has officially been 86’d from the Tiki on Open Mic and Karaoke Nights !

Much as he likes to think so, he’s no Jerry Seinfeld or Frank Sinatra !

He’s seriously, unfunny and can’t carry a tune in a paper sack !

    &nbsp

We never criticize someone else’s idea of sartorial splendor in Ballard, given the individual eccentricities of wardrobe and costume worn daily by our ever-so-slightly demented denizens.Individuality is tolerated and even encouraged but being forced to sit through a Marty monologue or being auditorily assaulted by his rendition of My Way is more than the patient patrons of the Tiki can take.

Well, my queue loaded yesterday afternoon, and this morning.

Im still in “wait and see” mode.

Also, i don’t like the round avatars. I don’t know yet, but i suspect that all my gif avatars may now be junk.

Concerning Susan’s "non-updated comics above… I’m no longer PRO, now on the cheeeeeper side of retirement. BUT, I’ve noticed that on my comic listing at the top, the ones that are not updated for today have a light shade of blue to them (inside of the “medallion”).

Marty has put his own “spin” on things.

    Anybody get the reference?

@Baconboy — I think you’re right, a faint blue tint to the strip’s avatar. Not sure I’d be able to see it if I didn’t already know the strip hadn’t updated though!
