Peter probably tells Elliot what my Dad used to tell me….

“Do as I say and not as I do.”

And good luck with that, Pete.

    Meanwhile….

    Tony can’t find us!

    His question for today is….

“How do you see posts on Gocomics now?”

    It’s a pain, Tony…..

You have to click on the little grey speech balloon under the strip.

And every time you want to see whether there are new comments, you have to refresh the whole page…

and then click the balloon again.

And replies are “nested”… so they’re hidden under the post they’re responding to, until you click the link that says “2 replies” or however many there are.

(in fact, I suggest that people write a fresh comment instead of hitting “reply.”)

But the main problem is, Tony….

    sigh……

if you can’t see the comments, you can’t read my answer.

Is your e-mail address posted somewhere?

I totally agree with Susansunshine. I like the larger format though.

    I just read yesterday’s posts…

And gosh…… I want to thank those who were worried about me, but I’m fine!

Yes, we got a LOT of rain…. but around here, it rains for hours and hours… sometimes days and days, with more time raining than not.

It doesn’t all dump at once, like a Midwestern storm.

And I live right off a fairly busy street, at the tail end of a small city. Nice trees and small mountains visible not far from me, but fairly urban, right here…and not likely to flood.

I won’t say never, but it’s not like closer to the coast, where the river overflows and there are mudslides in the forested canyons.

There were several power outages during the storms of the last week or two….and at least one of them kept me off the comics, cos it happened right after the turn and stayed off till morning.

But the reason I didn’t post last night was that the comics didn’t update while I was awake.

I keep very late hours on the West Coast…

I’d just gone to bed when you East Coast early birds were having your morning coffee, and then I slept through the new strips.

    @SusanSunshineGlad you are well.

I sort of like the "nesting of the replies. But wish you could reply to a fellow replier (is that a word?) without having to type their name.

I have to force myself to remember to look to see if there are replies but it is only a new process to learn and not armageddon. ….Yet.

How do I see the posts. I’m on a PC, so:

    1. Right-click the word balloon

    2. Click on ‘Open in new Tab’

    3. Voila! Comments without losing my place in My Comics

    @Tony:

I merely click on the dialogue balloon below the comic…like you folks have to, if you want to see and respond to today’s…

    Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:

Who did you talk to about it?

What SusanSunshine said! -——- Except all that about the rain. We are covered in masses of snow and it’s supposed to rain next week and I don’t know what is going to happen to all that snow – it is blocking all the drainage places now. -—— And, except for all that about keeping late hours. I’m in the same time zone but I go to bed at ten and get my comics in the morning – hopefully.

And I agree with what WHITEHERON said. I like the nesting of the replies but I don’t like having to click the reply button to see the replies – I don’t always remember to do that – and I enjoy reading replies to comments.

    Hi all….

Thanks, Plods… I did find Tony’s address before I went to bed, and wrote him a quick note.. and he answered, saying it wasn’t a joke.

So I hope he can find us now!

PerkyCat… I thought you were on Mountain time… an hour later than here?

If so, and if bed at ten means you get up at six, I am sometimes just turning out my light (@ 5am PST) when you turn yours on. Trading places!

So you guys can see the trouble I have with questions….

I usually don’t get back to see responses to mine, or answer others, until a lot of you are having dinner… and this is my first post today, at 8:30 on the East coast.

I do, however, pretty much always come back to read all the comments, even if sometimes it’s near the “turn.”

So if you answer me I’ll see it at some point, and I try to answer questions on the next day’s strip, in case no one comes back in the evening.

In fact, I wonder whether anyone will ever see this post!

Oh… BTW, JPuzz… well, yeah… I would have done that right off the bat if I were ON Facebook, but I’m not. I can look at it but I can’t post there.
