This is wonderful! It made me giggle! Anticipating those moments is what brings me back to the comics day after day.

Ahhh, brings back memories of the few Studebakers we had back in early 50’s. They were difficult to start in Minnesota winters, but maybe most cars were back then. Those 50s Studebakers had a kind of space age rocket ship body style that prefigured the later 50’s space age design that really caught on in about ’57.

Had a 1950 Starlight coupe and a 1954 Avante. I had these in the early 60s. The 50 had a continental, flat head, red seal 6 with overdrive. It would really cruse on the highway. The Avante was really sporty and had a massive V8 engine (12 MPG). Ah, fond memories.

Studebaker was the only company to successfully transfer from horse-drawn buggies to cars. Of course, even they only lasted a few decades.
