Shame on you Ralph! Years ago I worked for a card company and one day a man came in and asked where the anniversary cards were. I told him and he went over and just grabbed one and walked away without even reading it. I wanted to ask him how he’d feel if his wife cooked his meals and washed his clothes and took care of his house with the same care he’d used to pick out that card.
I worked for a drug store, but was also in charge of the Hallmark cards. That is most men do it. The day before & of a holiday the aisle is full of men, just kinda maybe glancing at them, but mostly looking at the price- some wanted less & some wanted more expensive.

I too did that job. It’s amazing how many men come in wanting a card the day after Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.

Hubby always took deliberate care when he chose cards for me, and I did the same for his cards. Maybe that’s why our marriage lasted so long.
