    I think the theater has gone over to the dark side

    nether my wife or I can sit for much over an hour without needing to get up and move around, we haven’t gone out to a movie in years

    The last movie I went to the theater for was the reboot of Star Trek. I’ll watch ’em at home with my big flat screen and a decent surround system. I may be poor, but I like to feel my movies…

    I think the last movie I saw was Trek 1. I don’t go for the same reason as the rest of you – mostly too, too, too loud.

    I think the last movie I saw at a theater was the reissue of the first “Fantasia” movie, which coincidentally is the only movie I have ever gone to see more than once (four times). Even though the theater had a great sound system and rocking-chair seats, the redone orchestration was uninspired and quite disappointing. One of the best movies ever made and they had to go and ruin it! Sigh…

    Last one I saw twice was Empire Strikes Back. Still like going to see movies in the theater but those prices, wow!

    They actually got food there? I don’t know that I’d trust it from a dump like that.

    @JD’Huntsville’AL

    Well, there was a 1956 re-release; a 1963 re-release; a 1969 re-release; a 1977 re-release; a 1982 digital re-release; a 1985 digital re-release; a 1990 remastered re-release; a 2009 re-release in Buffalo, NY; and a 2015 limited re-release. So which one are you referring to?

    I have no idea. The one where they first re-recorded the soundtrack with a new orchestra. It has none of the personality and liveliness of the original.

    I did go back to see the Final “Resident Evil” film. The only one that had a touching scene that brought a tear to my eye. I was stunned. Then I’ll get it on DVD for the extras.

    “I need some intergalactic rebel action NOW!” I feel your pain, kid. I’ve seen Rogue One three times and I still am having issues waiting for the bluray.
