    @YLESS

    Late yesterday you asked about other continued story type comics. I agree with your comment about the “soaps” like Rex Morgan, Judge Parker, and Mary Worth. They are, to me, boring. Mark Trail and Mandrake are almost as bad. However, I do like Phantom and Prince Valiant. Tarzan usually has a silly story line, but outstanding artwork. I quit reading Flash Gordon because it seemed to be the same thing over and over. However, there are two others that I enjoy, and those are Gasoline Alley and Endtown. You might give those two a try.

    Somehow, I got hooked on Rex, but it is boring. I agree with Phantom and Valiant, though those can get silly. I like Tarzan, but he kills about a lion an episode in the weekday strip. The Sunday strip is definitely goofy, but both versions have great art.

    While the main family tree is vast and covers decades, the current Gasoline Alley story lines are none too complex and limited in the characters involved. The art work at times is a treasure!

    I have been a faithful reader of Prince Valiant for years because I marvel at the artwork.

    I’ve stuck with Mark Trail out of habit, somehow hoping I will grow to appreciate the new hand at the pen. But it’s not been easy for an old timer.

    Just as I thought. These are reruns, and 16 years old at that.

    I wish Gocomics would have all the stories going aback at least to 1937.
