“The Saga of Dr. Dark”(24) 12/2-3/2017

    Interview by a vampire

Dr. Dark found his intermediary between him and the Vampire Nation was a veritable super"man" of their kind, Ӝ Vilyehm Valka, vampire extraordinaire. Rather like if Otto Skorzeny had become a vampire and lived for 5 thousand years comes close.(He did become infected and is a werewolf & the Führer of Nuevo Germania since 1977.)

He was so powerful UV didn’t bother him. He was now immune. He was pale, hairless as they all tend to be, dark eyes, pointed ears and moved like he had found the most efficacious ways to walk. Like a human cat. Only he has a longer index finger with a claw on it. Most of which can be hidden with clothes are makeup. He was only five feet-four inches yet he didn’t look small to Dr. Dark. He can see things about him most would never notice. Dark can pierce his veil of glamor all vampires can generate.

“Greetings to my abode, sir.” He said grandly and bowed while sweeping his hat with his left hand.

The vampire’s face didn’t change, he was stern, stoic and quiet as he looked at the dark doctor with a penetrating gaze of his own from those eyes.

Then he gives a big smile and showed emotion in the most shocking way! “I have heard a lot about you sir. So much so I was disheartened when you vanished awhile back.”

This time he reminded Dark of a gargoyle grinning from ear-to-ear in the most non-human way. He only had a few teeth, all of them sharp. The eyes briefly glowed red.

Okay, let’s do it again! Try to get it right this time, Mushmouth!

Deathworms From Planet X, Scene 29, Take 64

A filmshoot somewhere in Italy – The film is called “Deathworms From Planet X.” Top talent it doesn’t exactly boast.

Begone, Demon! Begone, I say! Your (something) will not – Oops! I mean nightmare!

    Cut!

But it does have a new money man!

Who is this fool aristocrat who suddenly decides to invest in our film?

His name is Count Oliviero. I am told to expect him momentarily.

Count Oliviero, as we know is none but Oliver Warbucks, today a US undercover man in the grim crusade against the world’s evildoers.

Gentlemen! Jas, jas! So happy to see you! How I so adore the cinema! Tell me, are you familiar with Mamoulian?

    Oh, for…

And here he has found a few.

Fine, we will take his money! But keep the fatuous boob away from me!

I fear he specifies one condition for his chivalrous support.

That we find a role for his woman, the elderly actress once called Vesuvia!

Vesuvua! Is she still alive? Write her in! Hah! The crone desires a comeback, eh?

    Begone, demon!

I like the contrast between Annie and Vesuvia in the last panel. Annie has strength and youth, Vesuvia grace and wisdom. Well drawn.

Conan the Barbarian? I wish these strips weren’t so difficult to read.
