COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency)Review Lesson #11: Training the Trainers (cont.) Our applicant is starting to show more “red flags” than an old Soviet Union “May Day” parade. The latest: 1. A willingness to steal when he fancies it necessary. While some of our graduates have found it helpful to play both sides of the law for the greater good (Refer to B. Reid, Class of ‘36), none have actually gone so far as to commit an actual crime.2. Bad publicity (somewhat related to 1). He has attracted the attention of the local authorities more for his outfit and petty thievery than whatever daring exploits he fantasizes about; note the chief’s reaction when informed. 3. Style over substance. “Beautiful shiny boots” tend to get beat up rather quickly living in a cave and tramping around the border area woods – which may actually be a good thing, as moonlight tends to show up the shine rather well, tipping off the wearer’s location. (Yes, we know that C. Kent, Class of ‘38 wears bright red boots while on the job, but our Dean Emeritus has certain… advantages.) On a side note, since his Junior Commando is still a pre-teen, she has some growing left to do… which means he’ll probably have to commit one or two more petty thefts sooner than he expects. (Yes, we also know that our Class of ‘24 graduate has been a kid for almost a century. The point is, our applicant does not know that.)
