COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency)Review Lesson #14: On Selecting A Partner (Due Diligence). In previous lessons, we have touched on the importance of a prospective partner submitting him or herself voluntarily, especially when underage. Care must also be taken to thoroughly “vet” the candidate to make sure he or she isn’t in it only for the “coolness” factor. Younglings tend to focus solely on the adventure ahead of them (possibly on the outfit or the technology they get to use), and not the responsibilities of this uncommon profession. Our potential protagonist above obviously has not done so; had he done even the most basic amount of research, he would have learned the girl’s “Daddy” is a multi-billionaire with vast resources at his disposal (not withstanding the two schmoes he dispatched to assist with the search), and connections possibly involving the supernatural. (Refer to Am, Punjab and Asp under the Known Associates file for L.O. Annie, Class of ’24.) With such knowledge, if our aspirant has any brains at all, he might have returned her to the lake shore where she could be easily found and restored to her people. Besides, the young opting for the “classic” approach often have the same difficulties with catchphrases as our aspirant seems to be suffering. D. Grayson (Class of ’40) tended to be especially annoying with his never-ending variants on “Holy -—!” before he matured and became a good crimefighter in his own right.

In the first panel: How do you pronounce HAHDAH? It looks like a failed attempt at a palindrome.
