COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency) Review Lesson #17: Serendipity. For all the “red flags” our prospect seems to be raising, he may be on to something here. The boat he was firing “warning shots” at may actually have been used for nefarious purposes. Granted, a person paying to be smuggled across the border into the U.S. likely would not give a hoot about bullet holes in the windshield, unless the hotel staffers are crafting a very careful image they are now stuck with maintaining. The question remains – did our applicant know about this and, if so, how? Did beating up the barkeep in town get him the information, or has he just “lucked into” this plot? (Our I.T. faculty here are also curious as to just who owns this charming little seat of intrigue on the lakefront, and whether they do their hiring directly, or if someone else does it for them?) This little turn of events is one reason why we did not immediately draw conclusions about our budding hero, and stayed with the case as long as we did.
