COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency) Review Lesson #36: Loose Ends. The police chief, as any good law enforcement officer would, is getting the kid the medical attention she badly needs – which is more than we can say for her “mentor.” Leave No One Behind is a principle that, we are proud to say, has never needed to actually be taught at the Academy; not found in any signs, nor in any of our textbooks. It has always been assumed by our students, which is one of the key distinguishing characteristics our Acceptance Committee looks for in an applicant. This is not to say that it has never happened, mind you; usually, a sidekick is left behind in the mistaken belief that he or she is dead. (For example, refer to S. Rogers and B. Barnes, Class of ’41.) Unless he believes that is what has happened to his “Junior Commando,” or has a backup plan for recovering her, it looks like our aspiring protagonist has not grasped this elemental quality. (And his actions up to now do not seem to indicate a fondness for any plans other than “A”.)
