Assuming that the knock on the head restored Annie’s memory, and from her attitude it seems that it did, why not just, “Please call Daddy W. (or his proxy) at his number and he’ll explain it all to you and send a limo for me.”? Regardless of how annoying the lady might be, why does Annie just want to make trouble for herself?

    Morning, Anniephans!

In regard to Cherns’ question, it may be that she just doesn’t want to get Warbucks involved. But I think that would be a pretty lame reason.

COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency) Review Lesson #39: Guest Appearances. In any society, there are always people that draw othetrs to themselves; entertainers, politicians, astronauts, athletes, etc. Successful graduates of our Academy are no exception (especially among the elite of our staff, the Dean Emeriti – refer to Special Guest Villain, B. Wayne, Class of ‘39), and every so often others will try to make a guest appearance in textbooks regarding their exploits. A recent example is Rich Koz of Berwyn, IL (refer to Svengoolie, Class of ’79, Famous Horror Movie Hosts School) and his work with D. Tracy, Class of ’31. We have already noted Rex Morgan, M.D.’s work with County Seat General Hospital in yesterday’s lesson; today it appears the nearby Child Welfare Bureau has hired the ill-tempered old lady who normally appears with InSecurity as an agent (only much taller). Under ordinary circumstances, any other person under her questioning would simply deny remembering any motorcycle person, the same as not remembering a motorcycle crash. However, we are seeing our Class of ‘24 graduate’s deductive skills at work, trying to gather as much intelligence as she can about recent events. (Besides, she may not be lying but simply guessing; the kid has been around…)
