Yesterday, I found out on The Daily Cartoonist that King Features is reviving the Flash Gordon strip! It will be back on the funny pages with all new stories and art seven days a week, starting in January. It will be written and drawn by Dan Schkade ("rhymes with ‘body’ "), who did a strip in the “Flash Forward” tribute series in 2021. You can read the details at The Daily Cartoonist.
Now, you might be asking “why bring this up here?”
Well, if they could do that with Flash Gordon and again with Popeye (the current incarnation sprang from Brian Milholland’s entry in the “Popeye’s Cartoon Club” tribute series and has been very well-received), then perhaps if we ask GoComics or Tribune Content Agency nicely enough, they might do the same for Annie?

Those fellows who revived Dick Tracy have had occasional guest shots of Annie and her daddy. It would seem they would be the ones to do it.
