Man: Senator, will your committee be leaking any new evidence this week pertaining to the Billy Carter affair? Man: Of course not. This is not a public hanging. Nor is it a whitewash. I hate to take the wind out of your sails, but our sole purpose is to separate the smoke from the fire. We don't want to scale a mountain of evidence only to find that it doesn't amount to a hill of peanuts. We've been down that road before, and it's a minefield. Voice: Senator, will the committee be looking for any new metaphors? Man: No. I won't have these hearings turned into a witch hunt for silver linings.
