Way more truth here than most people care to admit. Not many people have viable commercial ideas and lots of people have no interest in doing mental work.
Uhhh, something is missing in the logic here. If they start their own business, they can do so as a partnership or a small private corporation. If they are not sufficiently motivated beyond being a 9 to 5 employee, they could work for somebody else’s sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation whether public or private. Thus their decision has little to do with the existence of corporations other than providing limited liability to any business ambitions.
Or (gasp) organize a cooperative, where no one is ripped off because the rip off has to be refunded at the end of the year because it is legally the members’.

I’d be a lot more motivated to start my own business if I didn’t have to hold down a nine-to-five job just to make ends meet.
