All right. My SON tries ignoring me like Jr in the first two panels. He has Autism Spectrum Disorder (high functioning) and has genuine challenges verbalizing at times, and I don’t let HIM get away with that! Betty, time to rethink what is “ok”. Oh, yeah. And if I thought my child was serious about saying what he finally said? Uh…no.

I don’t condone “backtalk” but Betty is annoying. She finds something wrong with everything someone else does.

She’s giving Bub a break so now it’s time to micro manage the kid. What a bi**h!

Junior: Hey mom, how about you stop helicopter parenting me and bother someone else? I understand dad’s trying to enjoy life at this very moment. Why not find him and ruin his joy, you penguin-nosed shrew?

What’s so annoying about questions in your own home? He doesn’t bother to answer the first two – she gets a little more specific. The smart answer means he has time on his hands to do a few chores for a change. Something we haven’t seen before.

it does not make me feel superior, it makes me feel comfortable. Do you feel superior to those who have different interests than yours or that do things because they do it for their own reasons, or do you think everybody lives according to what you want instead of living their own lives?

Betty should have more kids…then she’d have more people to criticize!

Come on Betty if you’re going to pick on this little thing what will you say if he does something more serious, like smoking or drugs? Leave him alone! When I was a kid I always leaned against the ottoman to watch TV. It was one thing my mother didn’t pick on though she found a lot of other things! Learn to pick your battles Betty, don’t sweat the small stuff!
