It is common knowledge. But it’s a two way street. You don’t send receipts, you don’t get receipts. Nobody wants to give up the chance to watch the others’.
Actually, I hated getting read receipts. I trust my friends and family – getting those receipts was too much like spying for me, and yet one more annoying piece of info I don’t need cluttering up my already full day. So yeah, I turn off receipts.
